Full Description
A HDMI matrix, enables you to centralise AV devices so that they’re hidden away, creating neater, less-cluttered spaces. At HDANYWHERE we call these types of devices MHUB.
The MHUB 2K (4x4) is a 1080p capable system which means that it is only able to support a maximum resolution of 1080p which is absolutely fine for the majority of people. The system has 4 HDMI inputs and 4 long-range Cat5/6 outputs which connect to MHUB’s display receivers which decode the transmission back to HDMI which is then fed to the TV to provide a picture.
Additional to the Cat 5/6 outputs are x4 HDMI mirror ports which (if used with HDANYWHERE HDMI extenders: XTND) allow the maximum number of supported displays to expand to 8 which makes this MHUB perfect for bars and clubs.
Control is possible by means of MHUB’s built-in IR system. This allows you to pass IR signals from any of the display locations back to the MHUB and onto the active video source allowing you to control that device as if it was in the same room as the display.
What is this system good for?
MHUB 2K (4x4) is extremely good value for a 4 input/4output (potentially 8) system. This makes it perfect for homes where there is clutter under the tV, bars looking to distribute TV feeds to multiple displays or offices which might require digital signage.
What AV formats does this system support?
The MHUB 2K (4x4) supports resolutions up to HD 1080p (2K). This means you can use devices like Sky HD, High Definition Blu-Ray players, streaming boxes, Laptops etc with no problem. It also supports multi channel audio formats such as 7.1 Surround Sound and Dolby True HD as well as DTS-HD Master Audio
What does this MHUB not do?
This MHUB does not support 4K or HDMI 2.0 features. If you are looking for a device that is future-proofed or you need 4K distribution then please look at newer MHUB models. This MHUB does not come with app support nor can it be switched or controlled by Amazon Alexa.
The MHUB 2K (4x4) does not support HDCP 2.2. If you have a device like Sky Q, for example (and has HDCP 2.2) and you watch it at 1080p then you will not be able to pass this signal through MHUB 2K even if it is set at 1080p. This is because MHUB does not support HDCP 2.2. In order to get a newer source device to work with this older MHUB model you will need a Compatibility Dongle to work around this issue.
The MHUB 2K (4x4) also does not have a web interface but we have created a small computer program that will allow you to switch sources and change EDIDs. The software can be found in the controller pack which can be downloaded from the link below.

What to expect?
All HDANYWHERE Certified Refurbished products complete a refurbishment process restoring the system back to a "like new" state. The only exception is that there might be very minor cosmetic damage to the casing or that the original packaging has been swapped for something plain.
- Hardware will function "like new" and will be supplied with all accessories.
- We will never certify hardware that does not work 100%.
- All hardware will be cleaned as part of the certification process.
- All software will be reset and updated to the latest versions.
- Products may have minor cosmetic damage such as scratches, scuffs and or damaged packaging.
- Hardware will be sold under a special 2 year warranty.
